I am really busy at the moment with one thing or another and I am also thinking about buying an imac, so am spending lots of time on the net doing research.

I made this bunting for my office to go with the hanging hearts I made last week.

Hearts and New Chair

I’ve been on a tidy up and clear out mission this week, I got rid of my daughters double bed and bought her a new single daybed see earlier post, I have also rearranged my office and got rid of an old printer I didn’t use and some other stuff.

I have bought myself a new office chair to go with my nice big Ikea Galant corner desk.

I Still haven’t got my grey window sill yet to match my windows, I will have to try and get that sorted this year.

I have also made some hearts to hang on one of my wall units today.

We have also been making salt dough hearts but they need painting, so if they work out that may well be another blog post.

Day Bed

My daughter has always had a double bed but when we built this house it looked out of place in her room because of the shape of the roof.

She saw this day bed and asked if she could have it, so I bought her a new duvet and cut her duvet cover down to fit and with the left over fabric I have made her some bunting and another cushion for her bed, its the one with the small bunting and pom pom trim.

This is the before and afters I think it looks a lot better and she loves it.

Purple Cushion

Ive been really busy lately with the holiday let and work so I have not done any sewing.

I bought some plain deep purple fabric a while ago and I had some lavender and white scraps left over from another project so I have made this cushion for my daughters room as it will match her colour scheme.

Peppa Pig

Just saying hi as I haven’t posted a lot lately, Ive been busy with one thing or another.

Anyway a little girl we know is 2 tomorrow and she loves Peppa Pig so this is a card I have made for her.

I found an image and made it into a cutting file for the Pazzles, all those tiny bits of card to stick down!

Ipad2 Targus Cover

I have bought this today for the ipad, its a hard cover that the ipad clips into and it has a front cover that puts the ipad to sleep.

It has a lovely soft suedette inside to protect the ipad from scratches too.

Just Saying Hi

Well I have been busy lately and haven’t had any time to blog, so this is a quick update.

The sun is shinning here today but it is cold and the forecast is for the possibility of snow but at the moment that looks as if it wont happen.

We have done a little more to our kitchen, we now have the extractor hood up and fitted and have the Belfast sink in to replace the temporary one we had, we also had the dishwasher put in before Christmas, but we have not chosen any wall tiles yet and can still not decide on the colour of the worktop which we think will be granite.

Snow, Oh Joy

Well it snowed here yesterday only very lightly but for several hours so we are now snowed in, as our lane does not get gritted or ploughed.

Here are a few photos of what I woke up to this morning.

Ive added some photos of the same views on a normal day the front gates are to the left of the wall and tree in the second photo, i couldnt find one looking through the gates.

We are about 3/4 of the way up a very quiet no through lane so have an elevated position and from our loung and sun room at the back of the house we look out over our village.

You can see in this mornings photo there is a mist/fog hanging over the village below us in the third photo.

Oaty Biscuits

A friend of mine gave me this recipe for oaty biscuits so I decided I would make them this morning.

Here is the receipe if you want to try them out.

Flour 9.5 oz

Margarine 8.0 oz

Sugar 5.0 oz

Oats 2.5 oz

Syrup 2.0 oz

You could add more syrup which would make them more chewy, but they are fine as they are.

Mix sugar and margarine add all other ingredients and mix well

spoon out onto a baking try (i lined mine with baking paper) cook for 13 mins

I used a teaspon to spoon out my mixture and it made 30 biscuits.
